2015 Virginia Board of Accountancy (BOA) changes require that the 2-CPE Ethics Seminar for Virginia CPAs be taken from a “registered” Sponsor and taught by a “registered” Instructor. This seminar satisfies those and other new 2015-2019 Ethics requirements. All 2019 Ethics course materials must be provided by the sole vendor, the Virginia Society of CPAs, at a cost of $23/attendee for the Student Manual PDF that will be provided after seminar payment is received within the last 7 to 10 days before the seminar. This $23 is included in your seminar registration fee (not an extra charge). However, if you would like an additional hard copy of the 2019 Ethics student manual, you may order it directly from the VSCPA for approximately $7.00 plus shipping.

Open to members & to non-members with a reservation in advance, on a space-available basis.

Time: Seminar: 8:30AM-10:30AM, Sign-in 8:00-8:25AM

This Virginia CPA Ethics Seminar is provided as a service to IIA members, to non-members who are Virginia CPAs (over 50% of the Central Virginia Chapter members are CPAs), and to anyone else needing this CPE credit. Ethics seminar's net profit go to the IIA Central Virginia Chapter's Theron Bell Memorial Scholarship Fund at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

About 50% of your total cost now goes to VSCPA, the sole-provider of the Ethics course materials. Please encourage your CPA members or guests to attend, if they have not yet satisfied their Virginia calendar year Ethics requirement! Reservations are first-come first-served (use below "Register Me" button). Limit: first 60 people prepaid.

Certifications of The IIA & the ACFE now require annual Ethics training. We are advised that this 2-CPE satisfies those annual requirements, too.

Payment now accepted by credit or debit card (details at bottom of page), or via check made payable to "IIA Central Virginia Chapter" (non-profit tax ID # 23-7406294) and mailed to:

· IIA Central Virginia Chapter, c/o John R. Allen, 2831 Swanhurst Drive, Midlothian, VA 23113-2278

Please ensure that your check or credit/debit card payment is received in advance. Your reservation must be confirmed.

Non-receipt of your check (or credit card payment) will result in reservation cancellation after 10/31/19 for November. While substitutions are permitted without charge, please notify centralvirginiaiia@gmail.com of the name of your substitute, as it is needed for the CPE.

Seminar starts promptly at 8:30AM; you are required to be present for a full 100 minutes of class time.

Room location: 2nd Floor.

The Ethics CPE sign-in form will be distributed during the seminar.

This 2019 Ethics Seminar is offered by IIA Central Virginia Chapter (sponsor) thanks to Kathy Sobczak, CPA (instructor). This 2-CPE Ethics course satisfies the 2019 Virginia Board of Accountancy Ethics requirement for Virginia CPAs. Net proceeds support the chapter's IIA Thereon Bell Memorial Scholarship Fund at VCU.

Pre-payments by credit/debit cards: Payments are accepted via credit or debit cards. Use the Payment button below.

Credit Cards are still NOT accepted at meetings/seminars.
