Training Topic:
Impact of Privacy Laws on Internal Audit
The ongoing evolution of the data privacy landscape seems to present greater protections for individuals while creating significant new risks for businesses across economic sectors. With the EU GDPR fully in effect and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) following close behind in 2020, several companies feel that they are already falling behind as data privacy regulations shift more quickly than ever before. Performing Data Privacy Assessments and Audits can help organizations during these shifting times as they will not only allow privacy and compliance professionals to measure the design of the privacy program, but also ensure that policies, procedures and practices reflect the current state. Learn practical ways to build a privacy audit program that can evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of policies, procedures, and practices to mitigate risks, minimize deficiencies, and better prepare for navigating the ever changing privacy landscape.
