President’s Message

Dear Orange County Chapter Members,
This month we held our annual Spring Conference at Mile Square Golf Course, Fountain Valley.  This two day training session combined the resources of Orange County’s ACFE, ISACA and IIA Chapters.  The event was a huge success with over 180 professionals taking the opportunity to learn from cyber experts, attorneys, Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Office of the Inspector General, and senior management from some of the top firms in the country.  For those of you who were unable to attend, we have uploaded authorized presentations to our website under “Event Presentations” and under the event's page.  Note that not all speakers consented to the release of their presentations due to privacy reasons.

Next month we look forward to hearing from Jeff Sanchez, Managing Director from Protiviti Inc. present on “Best Practices for Auditing PCI Compliance”.  This lunch event will be held on Tuesday, April 18th at the Equinox, in Irvine. Please refer to the registration link below.

I can also confirm that Early Bird Registration for the Western Regional Conference in Anaheim has been extended to Tuesday, April 4th.  Members can get up to 18 CPEs for just $795.  Pre-Conference Workshops start at just $250 for up to 4 CPEs!  The event is scheduled for June 6th – 9th and the registration link can be found below.

Lastly, I would like to recognize and thank EY, Kia, Protiviti and Focal Point Data Risk, who continue to provide support to the Chapter as sponsors for the 2016/17 year.  If you or your company are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Rachel Snell at rsnell1@mail.cccd.edu.

We look forward to seeing you at the April 18th lunch meeting.

Best regards,
Jonathan Jayasinghe
President, IIA Orange County Chapter
