With increased market volatility, an ever-changing regulatory and political landscape, technology advancements, digital innovation, and ongoing data security threats, Internal Auditors are expected to anticipate and respond to disruptions, and move beyond the traditional assurance services.  This includes better identifying and assessing risks that would impact an organization’s strategy, leveraging technology, and being more of a trusted advisor to the organization.
