 Website Audit Scope

If you're doing a website audit anytime soon, include in your audit scope the following Checklist from the ADA Best Practices Tool Kit which comes to us as part of their guidance for complying with nondiscrimination requirements of Title II of the ADA which apply to state and local government websites and some other business types.  Even if the audit client is not a state or local government, recommending a Website Accessibility Policy will prepare them for Industry Best Practices which are an expectation a large financial institutions and will likely be affecting publicly traded companies.  In any event, any steps your audit client takes to be inclusive of its consumers that have disabilities will be looked at favorably in the market.
