 2013 IIA St. Louis Chapter Scholarship Application

Greetings St. Louis IIA Members,
     Each year we provide a scholarship to one deserving student wishing to pursue a career in Internal Audit. Information about the scholarship is provided below, as well as the link to the application itself. Please share the information with any students or educators you may know!
 
IIA ST. LOUIS CHAPTER

Scholarship Information

 
 
Ø      Students should either be in their junior year or in graduate school at the time of application.
 
Ø      Students should have completed at least 9 credit hours of accounting courses.
 
Ø      Students should have a minimum 3.2 GPA overall (transcripts are required).
 
Ø      A college or university faculty member from the student’s school must sponsor the student.
 
Ø      Students will write a brief personal statement indicating their interest in an internal auditing career.
 
Ø      Scholarship awards will be based on academic performance, participation in relevant extracurricular activities, and the quality of the applicant’s personal statements.
 
Ø      Scholarship funds must be used for educational expenses, but need not be limited to a specific course or courses, and will be paid directly to the school.  Amount of the scholarship to be determined by the Educational Foundation.
 
Ø      A committee comprised of College Relations and Educational Foundation members will evaluate applications and recommend scholarship awardees to the Educational Foundation.  The Foundation will review the Committee’s recommendations and make the final decision to award the scholarships.
 
Ø      Winners will be notified in April 2013.  Formal presentation of the scholarships will take place at the May 2013 IIA Chapter Meeting.
