Established in 1941, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is an international professional association with global headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida, USA. The IIA is the internal audit profession's global voice, recognized authority, acknowledged leader, chief advocate, and principal educator. Generally, members work in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit, education, and security.

Mission Statement: Serve our membership through the sponsorship of meetings, seminars, and conferences designed to provide beneficial information in an effective and timely manner.  Coordinate with other area professional organizations such as the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), etc. to leverage their information forums to our mutual benefit while mitigating scheduling conflicts.  Promote the profession of internal auditing by involving students in chapter activities, informing individuals of the benefits of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), presenting the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and other IIA sponsored examinations, and sponsoring research.  Success will be measured by achieving the Chapter Achievement Program status of gold each year.
