The Alaska Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors is proud to present a two-day seminar on The “How-to” Manual for Performing Efficient Audits In this two-day seminar you will learn the process and steps necessary to assure that the time invested in your audit is effectively and efficiently used and optimal results are obtained.  In this time of reduced resources, auditors need to focus on key areas and deliver timely high-impact audits. This high-impact seminar addresses the concepts to delivering a timely successful product.
You will explore the reasons why audits fail, and discuss some of the common and avoidable traps that result in audits overrunning their budgets and not answering key questions. You will learn what the key components are to planning and focusing the audit and how they can be managed to deliver an on-time product. You will learn ways to effectively assess the audit environment to avoid surprises and how to utilize tools and methods to assist you in identifying the high risk areas. You will learn how to deliver successful, timely audits that add value to your organization. Case studies and class exercises will be used to demonstrate course concepts.
