Course Summary
Auditors are expected to uphold and promote high ethical standards.  Auditors must also assess and make recommendation to improve organizational governance processes for promoting ethics within the organization. Understanding roles and responsibilities and some of the underlying causes of ethical “failures” can aid auditors in meeting both of these objectives.  In this session, we will review ethical principles, examine why individuals may fail to do what is right – even when they may “know” what is right, and discuss the auditor’s contribution to a strong ethical climate.
