 Social Media Survey

A team of accounting and marketing professors from Sam Houston State University, Xavier University, the University of Alabama-Birmingham, and Ohio University are researching the impact social media has on the internal auditing process.  Specifically, they are exploring whether internal auditors are involved in crafting their firms’ social media policies, the extent to which they monitor the company’s social media accounts, and whether social media events cause auditors to adjust their assessments of regulatory risk and reputational risk related to the brand.

As such, they are conducting a survey of internal audit professionals regarding these topics in cooperation IIA Chapters from across the country.  If you would like to participate in this survey, please click on the link provided below.  The authors of this survey thank you in advance, and the Albuquerque IIA Chapter will post the results of this research when published.
