Barbara Jesup, Atlanta IIA President 2017-2018

I am excited to assume the role as President of the chapter for the 2018 fiscal year.  There are so many initiatives that we’ve seen come to fruition, and I cannot wait to see what the new chapter year has in store.  Just a few of our chapter’s outstanding accomplishments:

The Atlanta Chapter continues to have Platinum status

The Atlanta Conference

The Atlanta Business Chronicle Special Section

The Young Professionals Group

CAE and Direct Reports Roundtables

Annual Awards Banquet

Providing scholarships to internal auditing students

And we already have a number of events planned for the new chapter year so mark your calendars:

September 15 The Atlanta Conference

October CIA Review Course presented by Dr. Glen Sumners for the 25th year in a row

November 10 Student Case Competition at Kennesaw State University with over 100 students and 25 employers

February 16 Student Day at Kennesaw State University February The Atlanta Business Chronicle special Internal Audit Section

April 13 The 13th Annual Chief Audit Executive Appreciation Day

May 17 Awards and Certification Presentation Banquet

Chapter meetings each month

Of course none of this would be possible without the tireless work of Nancy Thomas, the Chapter’s Executive Administrator now in her 10th year with us, and our terrific volunteers.  Is this your year to get involved?  Volunteering with the IIA is a truly rewarding experience.  If you are interesting in joining the team, please contact me at bjesup@asburyauto.com.

Best Regards,

Barbara Jesup
