Committee Spotlight on the Test Development Team
Test Devleopment Teams are groups of Certified Internal Audit professionals who draft questions and meet on a quarterly basis at the chapter level to review the exam questions that have been drafted for IIA certification exams.  The Austin Chapter is currently one of two active Test Development Teams in the United States.  The Houston Chapter has the other team.
As a member of the Test Development Team, you will serve IIA Austin Chapter members and promote the Internal Audit profession by earning CAP points for the Chapter for every accepted question, contributing to the advancement of future generations of internal auditors, staying current with IIA guidance and best practices in internal auditing, earning CPE credit for each accepted item, and enjoy valuable networking opportunities.  To participate in this committee, you must hold the CIA designation, and agree to submit items to the IIA on a quarterly basis.  We hold the meeting using Zoom, so remote attendance is possible and encouraged (we have one member from as far away as Costa Rica!).
The Committee currently drafts questions each quarter, and then meets to review the questions drafted.  So far this year, 45 items have been submitted.
If intererested in seeing what this committee is about, the next committee meeting will be on Friday, November 2nd from 12:30pm to 4:00pm.  A light lunch will be provided at the session.  To join this committee, or for additional information, please ocntact Test Development Chair Colin Meier ()
