 IIA Spring Fraud Seminar - Pensacola, FL

The NWFL Chapters of the IIA and ACFE are pleased to announce the details of our annual Spring Fraud Seminar. We have another great line-up this year!
On day one, our speaker will be Kevin Robinson CIA, CFE, CCEP. Mr. Robinson is the Executive Director of Internal Auditing at Auburn University. Mr. Robinson will begin the day with a presentation on Improving Your Organizations Approach to Controls and Risk Management.
After Lunch, Mr. Robinson will finish up day one with an afternoon presentation titled Back to the Basics: Preventing & Detecting Occupational Fraud.
On day two of the seminar we have a variety of presentations. To begin, we will have a presentation by the following Partners and Director of Consulting Services from Carr, Riggs & Ingram:
·         Steve Riggs CPA, CFA
·         Glenn Gillyard CPA, CFE, CFF
·         Dr. Tommie Singleton CPA, CISA, CITP, CFF, CGEIT
These speakers will present Case Studies related to the Okaloosa County Tourist Development Council and Sheriff’s Office Fraud Cases.
The morning will continue with David Stafford, who will speak on Election and Voter Fraud. Mr. Stafford is the Escambia County Supervisor of Elections. Mr. Stafford was elected in 2004 and subsequently re-elected without opposition.
Our first presenter of the afternoon will be Captain David Lindsay with the Department of Financial Services Fraud Division, Pensacola Field Office. Captain Lindsay is the Panhandle Region Commander. He will present an Overview of Insurance Fraud and Ponzi & Stranger Originated Life Insurance Schemes (STOLI).
Finally, Andrea Bullough will present Sovereign Citizens: An Overview. This presentation will highlight the activities of sovereign citizens, including fraud, and Florida’s perspective on the re-emergence of this trend. Ms. Bullough works for the FDLE, Counter Terrorism Intelligence Center.
