ABOUT THE TOPIC
The Wells Fargo Model Risk Team will be presenting on quantitative modeling to inlcude appropriate risk management, Internal Audit procedures, and the Wells Fargo (WF) approach. The discussion will include the definition and the primary risks associated with models outlined by banking regulations and interpretation of those definitions. We will detail required bank regulations such as SR 11-7 and OCC 2011-2012, WF application of the requirements, and the Wells Fargo Audit approach. In addition, this discussion will provide a general breakdown of model risk management roles and responsibilities from the perspectives of each of the three lines of defense.
 
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
TJ McGee
TJ McGee is an Audit Manager with Wells Fargo Audit Services. He holds a BSBA Accounting degree and the CISA and ITIL certifications. TJ has over 10 years of experience in various roles at Deloitte, ING, Athene USA (formerly Aviva), and Wells Fargo.  His primary areas of focus have been within various audit and control functions where he conducted audit support, SAS 70, Internal Audit, SOX, and SAS 99 engagements.
 
Aaron Frazier
Aaron Frazier is an Audit Manager with Wells Fargo Audit Services. He holds a MBA and BBA in Accounting degrees as well as the CPA and CIA certifications. Aaron has 8 years of experience in various consulting, audit, and analyst roles with Protiviti, Aviva, and Wells Fargo. Aaron is experienced in assessing and managing risks within financial and operational processes in the insurance, banking, energy, manufacturing, and retail industries. Most recently Aaron has focused on assessing risks and controls specific to modeling tools utilized within the financial services industry for reporting, capital projection and analysis, and management decision making.
