Data Analytics and Focusing on the Risks that Matter

John Ackerman, Partner/Principal, Advisory Services, Ernst & Young LLP

Please join EY Partner/Principal John Ackerman for a discussion around how to use data analytics and risk assessment leading practices to identify the emerging risks that matter to your organization.

Recent headlines continue to highlight how business models are evolving at an unprecedented pace and how too much information rather than a lack of it is becoming a new problem for many companies today. John will share examples into how progressive internal audit functions are using data analytics to identify the signal from the noise and turn data into insight. In addition John will discuss leading practices and examples as it relates to executing a robust and comprehensive risk assessment process to help better align your internal audit resources to the emerging risks that matter to your company today.

John Ackerman is a Partner/Principal in the Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP.  John has over 15 years of global accounting and auditing experience in both public accounting and a corporate environment. He is currently responsible for Ernst & Young’s RISK services across the Greater NY Market Segment and is the Internal Audit Champion for the North East Advisory Practice of Ernst & Young.
