Project Auditing – Speaker (8 CPE)

This course will focus on how to audit a business or IT project. Understanding that project management is a key strategic tool to drive initiatives in which organizations depend on for success, this course is meant to teach auditors project processes, risks, controls, and what to look for when evaluating projects.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. List key project management processes and expected controls for projects
2. Set appropriate control objectives for the audit of a project
3. List common risks experienced in projects
4. Learn what to look for when evaluating projects

Projects will include business process improvement, new product development/change, and other projects with IT components. It will not include projects in construction, engineering, architecture/design, mining/extraction or oil & gas due to the course being one day in length.
