Mark Maraccini, CPA
As Senior Manager in the Performance Business Unit of Crowe Horwath, Mark has over 13 years of accounting, auditing and consulting experience, providing services to government, higher education, and not-for-profits. His recent presentations include Illinois CPA Society on compliance audits in accordance with OMB Circular A-133; Michigan CPA Society on subrecipient monitoring; internal Crowe training on Performance Audits; and webinar on proposed changes to OMB circulars relating to subrecipient monitoring.
Mark has conducted performance audits for Federal, State and local governments, including The Department of Commerce, National Credit Union Association, and State of Arizona Auditor General.
Michael Mayo, CPA
Michael is also a Senior Manager in the Crowe Horwath Performance Business Unit, with 35 years of experience in auditing, consulting, training and human resources. He has provided services to government, higher education, and not-for-profit and healthcare clients. Prior to joining Crowe, he served as a partner at Deloitte for Public Sector Services. His services have included work addressing construction management, electronic toll collection systems, golf course privatization, and emerging standards implementation.
He has served in leadership roles on various boards of public sector, professional, civic and charitable organizations in the Chicago area. He has received numerous recognitions, including Crain’s Chicago Business Forty under Forty Award, Harold Washington College’s Business Professional of the Year Award; and Illinois State University’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award.
