ACL Training – Beginner and Intermediate Courses
We will again be providing deeply discounted ACL training this year the week of January 28, 2013.
Sign up for either of the courses individually, or take them together.

Who Should Participate
Financial, Operational, and External Auditors; Information Systems Auditors and Audit Management; prospective ACL users.
Participants should have a basic understanding of Windows. No advance preparation is required.
Introductory - ACL 105: Foundations of ACL – Concepts and Practices

  • Explain the fundamentals of data concepts, ACL basics, and data analysis cycles
  • Describe the three stages of data access
  • Create tables to access data
  • Display and filter data
  • Verify data integrity, create expressions, compare data from different files/systems, profile data, and produce data reports
  • Employ ACL to add value to audits
Intermediate - ACL 201: Data Analysis Techniques; An ACL Workshop

  • Apply ACL in a structured audit analysis process
  • Identify project objectives in business and technical terms
  • Apply the necessary steps to achieve project objectives
  • Examine data elements and table structures
  • Test control totals, bounds, completeness, uniqueness, data relationships, and reliability
  • Evaluate data to reveal exceptions
