2017 Scholarship Award Winners

The Detroit Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors is pleased to announce 3 scholarship award winners:

  • Brittany Baize

  • Megan Miller

  • Rebecca Whaley

Brittany Baize attends Wayne State University as a graduate student with a 3.25 GPA. Ms. Baize is studying for a Master of Science in Accounting. Her undergraduate degree was awarded by Michigan State University with a 3.5 GPA. Her volunteer activities include fund raising for “Game On Cancer” for Henry Ford Hospital and a patient escort at St. John Macomb/Oakland Hospital.

Megan Miller attends Wayne State University as a graduate student with a 3.86 GPA. Ms. Miller is studying for a Master of Science in Accounting. Her undergraduate degree was awarded by Michigan State University with a 3.5 GPA. Her volunteer activities include American Red Cross Blood Drive, York Apparel for the homeless and a member of the social committee of Phi Chi Theta business fraternity at Michigan State.

Rebecca Whaley attends Wayne State University as a graduate student with a 3.8 GPA. Her undergraduate degree was awarded by Michigan State University in Accounting with a 3.51 GPA. Her volunteer activities include assistant coach for junior varsity basketball, co-leader of spring and summer golf league and legal education services of co-ed softball team. Ms. Whaley is also a member of the Michigan Association of CPA’s and National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives.
