Here's how it works: After a delicious lunch buffet, all attendees will find that we have been hired by a fictitious auditing and fraud examination firm. For the next few hours, we will participate in cutting edge interactive training. We will evaluate evidence, interview suspects and work a live case to resolution. The training we will receive includes interviewing skills, data analysis, planning and scoping, team building and general fraud examination skills. While we're being distracted by having fun, we will have plenty of opportunities to learn concepts that will make us better auditors.
Our host for this event is Tim Hungerford CPA, CFE, CIA, CMA, CISA, CGAP. Tim has more than 25 years of experience in accounting, auditing and financial systems, including four years in public accounting, eight years with Eastman Kodak in various financial positions including internal audit, and sixteen years as owner of Hungerford Vinton, LLC, a specialized auditing firm located in Rochester, New York. He is very active in the Rochester Chapters of the IIA and IMA. Tim serves on several accounting advisory boards and is an adjunct professor in the master's in forensic accounting program at the State University of New York at Brockport. He received his BBA in Accounting from Niagara University and his MBA in Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
