“Courageous Dialogue – Tools For Talking When Stakes Are High”
Presented by Tom Esch, President, Creating Resolution, LLC
About the Discussion
Today’s professionals have many challenges as they collaborate with others on different projects and assignments. Coming in as one who may review the work of others and recommends change is a powerful role.  Whether it be at the level of Operations, Management, BOD or the Audit Committee, outside support is sometimes required for optimal performance.  Many of us know we need to have a courageous dialogue with our many stakeholders.  When we are aware of the power we do have, and use tools that increase our emotional intelligence, the conversations always go better and projects get done sooner and with more ease.  Come and learn what is required for today’s professionals to successfully navigate the sometimes treacherous waters of complex work relationships when the feelings are strong and the stakes are high.
  • Learn to prevent interpersonal conflict through awareness of positional power dynamics
  • Create safety when communication feels risky
  • Know when NOT to dialogue
  • Gain new, practical tools for having courageous dialogues when the stakes are high
  • Lay a foundation that will transform your current relationship with challenging situations
