Roundtable Topics and Mystery Fraud Lunch

Internal Audit Roundtable Topics:  Do you ever wonder how other companies and audit departments tackle the every-day issues you encounter?  Join us for an opportunity to benchmark with other members in our chapter to share best practices in a roundtable format with a topic facilitator.  After you register for this event, you will receive a survey to choose which morning and afternoon session you would like to attend.  Current roundtable topics include:

Project Management                            Continuous Improvement

Audit Process                                      Audit Report Writing

IT Auditing                                           Fraud/Data Analytics

CAEs/Directors/Managers                     ERM/Risk Assessments

Sessions offered will depend on interest levels upon sign-up.  You will also be given an opportunity to submit questions in advance to ensure you get the most out of your session.  Come prepared to share, listen, and learn!

Mystery Fraud: Back by popular demand (similar to the Mystery Fraud dinner that was held in May in Stevens Point), we will have guest speaker, Timothy Hungerford, facilitate this mid-day/lunch portion of the training and give us an opportunity to network like never before.

Attendees will find they have been hired by the fictitious auditing and fraud examination firm “Safe-T-Accounts.”  For the next three hours, they will participate in evaluating evidence, interviewing suspects, and working on a live case to resolution.

Tim Hungerford is a partner of Hungerford Vinton, LLC, a specialized auditing firm located in Rochester, NY. The organization is a NYS peer reviewed CPA firm that has been in existence since 1997. Tim uses actual fraud case experiences and examples to create evidence and a script for an entertaining and participative session. For more information, visit

The training objectives include: data analysis, planning and scoping, team building, and general fraud examination skills.
