Joe Underwood is a Principal at Albert Risk Management Consultants, an independent risk and insurance advisory firm based in Needham, MA. As the firm’s ERM Practice Leader, Joe has over fifteen years of experience assisting clients with development of risk management processes and assisting clients as they implement various facets of their risk response plans, including auditing and optimizing their insurance programs. Joe received a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia and an MBA with Finance concentration from Babson College. He holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Enterprise-wide Risk Management (ARM-E), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designations.
Edward Downey is Senior Director, Risk Management at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, a $1B biopharmaceutical company located in Lexington, MA. With his more than thirty years of risk management, loss control and business continuity experience, Ed oversees both Risk Management and Internal Audit functions at Cubist. Prior to joining Cubist, Ed was AVP of Risk Management at CIGNA where he oversaw risk management, business continuity and disaster planning functions. Ed received a BA in Sociology from Holy Cross and a Masters in Health Care Administration from George Washington University. He is a Certified Business Continuity Planner and a Certified Internal Organization Coach.
