 About This Chapter

​​The Hawaii Chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors is a professional association of internal auditors involved in promoting professional growth and progress for the practice of internal auditing. Activities include supporting the work and initiatives of the international organization and promoting the IIA Professional Practices Framework. The IIA motto, "Progress Through Sharing", shall be demonstrated by sharing the tools, techniques, concepts and philosophies developed by its members during the course of their endeavors.​

There are 200 active members (which includes retirees and students), and a high level of member participation ​in the monthly lunch meetings.

There are a total of 150 IIA chapters in North America. The Hawaii Chapter is one chapter out of a select group recognized as a 2012, 2013 and 2014 Chapter of Excellence for advancing the profession by supporting the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) credential through The IIA's CIA Learning System program.
