About the Speaker
Keith M. Kaneshiro is completing his third term as Prosecuting Attorney for the City & County of Honolulu. He previously was Prosecuting Attorney from 1989 to 1996.
Keith has more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement in Hawaii, having served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Deputy Attorney General, Executive Director of the Hawaii Crime Commission, Chief Legal Counsel to the state Senate and state Director of Public Safety.  On the national level, he is an active member of the Board of Directors for the National Alliance for Model State Drug Laws.
As Prosecuting Attorney, Keith has identified crimes against senior citizens, domestic violence, drugs, animal cruelty and cybercrimes and identity theft as priorities of the office. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii-Manoa and California Western School of Law.
