Announcing Cancellation of the 2020 Annual Conference (Houston Chapter of The IIA)

Given the ongoing uncertainty related to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Board of Governors of the Houston Chapter of The IIA has decided to cancel the 2020 Annual Conference.  The decision to cancel was done out of concern for the health and well-being of our Houston Chapter members and our speakers and sponsors.  Even as communities and businesses are starting to reopen, many companies and firms expect to continue travel and large meeting restrictions and extend social separation practices through the remainder of the year.  

We are already planning for our 2021 Annual Conference to be held on April 12, 2021.  We look forward to hosting another high-quality educational event that you have come to expect from the Houston Chapter’s Annual Conference.   In the interim, the Houston Chapter is modifying its delivery of professional education to meet the learning and CPE needs of our members.

Participant Registration and Sponsorship Options

Your paid 2020 Annual Conference participant registration fee and/or sponsorship can be (i) applied towards the 2021 Annual Conference or (ii) refunded.  For group registrations and firm sponsorships, please coordinate with your firm representative that initiated the original registration.  

  • For those opting to apply your participant registration and/or sponsorship payment to the 2021 Annual Conference, please contact conferenceregistration@houstoniia.org no later than Friday, May 22, 2020.   For this option, you will receive a special registration code for use in registering for the 2021 Annual Conference, with registration expected to open in late 202o for sponsors and early January 2021 for participants.  Both participants and sponsors will need to register for the 2021 Annual Conference and the 2020 Annual Conference sponsorship levels and booth selection priority will not automatically transfer to the 2021 Annual Conference.   
  • If you do not opt to apply your registration or sponsorship funds to the 2021 Annual Conference, then your refund will be processed after May 22, 2020 to the form of payment used in the original registration.  To change the form of payment for your refund, please contact conferenceregistration@houstoniia.org by Friday, May 22, 2020.
