Want to get involved?  Volunteer Opportunities with the IIA

As the chapter continues to offer greater benefit to our members and shape the profession, our need for assistance grows. 
If you would like to expand your skill set and professional network, while serving our community, the Houston IIA chapter is looking for volunteers to assist with the below roles. 
Each of these roles is a great way to contribute to both your personal and chapters success.
Organizational Chair Roles:

  • Revenue Chair - Perform reconciliations of Chapter revenue

Program and Special Event Volunteer Roles:

  • Test Development Team Members – create and submit exam questions for any of one of the certifications offered by the IIA
  • IIA Work Place Champions – help communicate IIA events and opportunities to your co-workers
  • Day in the Life” Presenters – Work with the VP of Academic Relations to present to future internal auditors on what it means to be an internal auditor and grow the profession
  • Day Of” Volunteers – Assist during our various special events throughout the year performing a variety of tasks needed to ensure successful events
  • Judge at the University of Houston - UH is always looking for judges for their presentation classes.  
  • Survey Coordinator -Work with VP of Administration to coordinate surveys
  • Annual Report Assistance – Help with the Annual Report
  • Event Photographer – Take photos at events
  • Technology RCM – Someone to assist with the development/maintenance of the Risk and Control Matrix
  • Manager Roundtable - Assist VP of Membership in organizing the upcoming manager roundtable
  • Other – Have another way you would like to contribute, please let us know
Job Posting Coordinator:
  • Assist the Houston IIA Website team in posting job opportunities to the website on a periodic basis
