Yousef Valine is executive vice president and chief risk officer of First Horizon National Corp. His responsibilities include enterprise-wide oversight responsibility for risk management governance/framework, market, operational, and treasury services risk management, model validation, internal audit, compliance, security, Community Reinvestment Act, and insurance. Valine was an executive vice president at Wachovia Corp. where he was head of the institutional risk group and chief operating officer of the risk management division. His 24-year career at Wachovia included various other senior leadership positions. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Georgia State University. He is a graduate of executive management programs at Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a graduate of the advanced risk management program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
