PROGRAM: The Power of Professional Influence
DATE: Friday, November 7, 2014

LOCATION: Crowne Plaza Riverfront - 1201 Riverplace Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207

Don Levonius, Principal Consultant with Victory Consulting will present "The Power of Professional Influence".  Leadership is about collaborating with and influencing others. Great leaders are able to influence not only their direct reports, but clients, colleagues, and others over whom they have  little or no formal authority. This seminar helps professionals discover and convey their purpose, demonstrate objectivity and positivity, discern the needs of others, identify win-win solutions, demonstrate grazia and sprezzatura, and persuade without being pushy.

By the end of this seminar, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate between knowing how, and articulating why
  • Create an “open me” policy that facilitates mutual openness and transparency
  • Explain how our personal perspective affects how others view us
  • Apply three specific goals for actively listening to others
  • Demonstrate collaborative problem solving to avoid imposing or compromising
  • Describe the benefits of being unpretentious and unflappable
