During this informative session Patty Miller will cover the concepts of professional skepticism, professional judgement, critical thinking, and the application of these skills throughout the life cycle of an audit project. New auditors and experienced audit managers and directors will all benefit from this workshop.
Patty Miller is an experienced audit professional. She is currently an executive-in-residence for the University of Nevada-Reno, and teaches a graduate course in organizational governance and internal audit. She is also the owner of PKMiller Risk Consulting, LLC, a professional services organization providing internal audit, internal control, and risk management and governance services.
Patty’s experience includes 14 years with Deloitte & Touche in the Bay Area, serving as the lead risk services partner and serving on the global board of directors of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), including serving as a member of the executive committee for seven years and as Chairman of the Board from 2008 – 2009.
