The Northern Nevada Chapter of IIA is the premiere resource for information, training, networking, and certifications for internal auditors. Our mission is to serve our members with a balanced training program, current information and an opportunity to network with fellow professions.
On March 4, 2015, we will be holding a special meeting of the Northern Nevada Chapter. We will hold an election for officers for the coming chapter year (June 2015 - May 2016).
Your vote and participation is important - please join us! The lunch meeting will be from 11:30am to 1:00pm, at IGT, 9295 Prototype Drive in the Communication Corner training room (follow the signs for Training Center). The cost is $20 for members, $15 for government employees, and $25 for nonmembers. Lunch is provided!
The officer slate that will be voted on at the meeting is as follows:
· President – Paula Ward, Washoe County School District
· VP Membership – Connie Casallas, Tahoe Resources, Inc.
· VP Programs – Rich Boone, Sierra Nevada Corporation
· Treasurer – Kim Drake, International Game Technology
· Secretary – Cindy Sweet, Sierra Nevada Corporation
Also, Patty Miller will present an interesting and challenging topic - "Auditing Organizational Governance - Is it Possible?"
Patty is a member of our Chapter, and the current Chairman of the IIA Standards Board, so well-qualified to speak on this topic. She is a prior Chairman of the Global IIA Board (2008 - 2009), and a retired internal audit Partner from Deloitte & Touche LLP. She currently is an executive-in-residence at UNR, and has a consulting firm, PKMiller Risk Consulting, LLC.
Please RSVP at or 448-2123 by March 2, 2015.
