 New Global IIA Website


Dear Chapter Leader,

As you know, here at The IIA we have had long aspirations to improve the online services we provide to our institutes, chapters, members, and customers worldwide. In 2010, we embarked on a new technology initiative that would allow us to do so. 

The foundation for the technology initiative rests on the acquisition of Microsoft’s SharePoint collaborative software. The software platform enhances content management and search functionality, provides a collaborative online workspace, and allows for a clean and organized user-friendly website. The deployment of SharePoint will consists of a series of key events, including: the launch of the new Global Website, implementation of committee and chapter sites creating efficiencies for IIA volunteers worldwide, and the re-deployment of a significantly enhanced North American website. 

We are pleased to announce the launch of The IIA’s new Global Website,, a separate and distinct site that truly reflects the global nature of our profession and the organization. The new website utilizes the Microsoft’s SharePoint Collaborative software as its foundation. The software platform improves content management and search functionality, provides collaborative online workspace, and allows for a clean and organized user friendly website. The platform’s functionality has allowed for: 

  • User friendly display of information on The IIA’s products and services.

  • An interactive world map facilitating access to Institutes around the globe.

  • The development of a comprehensive Training and Events calendar.

  • Enhanced navigation and heightened search functionality.

  • A new login based on user e-mail.

The existing North American site, remaining, will continue to provide access to all the same information you and your chapter members have come to expect. And, from the lessons learned with the launch of the Global site, the North American site will undergo significant enhancements and be re-launched sometime during the winter months.  

We encourage you, to communicate the launch of to your members so they can experience firsthand many of the enhancements coming to later this year. When visiting, each IIA member will need to complete and account activation process to access member restricted content.
