Lori L. Engel, SPHR
Lori is the owner and President of Ultimate HR – Ultimate Challenge – an Edmond based Human Resource Consulting firm, focusing on providing HR services to small companies who do not need a full time HR professional; providing project work in the areas of benefits, recruiting, HR generalist, payroll processing, accounting, developing internal controls; 401(k) audits and third part benefit audits conducted by their CPA sister company – Sullivan CPA. And, the area that many companies utilize their expertise in, is handling workplace investigations, typically centered around EEOC violations, embezzlement or fraud.
Lori has worked in various areas of Human Resources since 1983, with Fortune 500 companies in the area of aerospace and electronics, and with smaller companies in food service and telecommunications. In her career she has held management positions in training and development and in general HR as well as being the Chief Ethics Officer for Goodrich. Lori has spent the last 11 years being the top HR person either at a division level or a corporate level and has vast experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and both union avoidance and union negotiations. Throughout her career she has also worked in various International markets, including Singapore, Vietnam, Germany, UK, England, Mexico, Israel, Russia and Canada. Lori has worked in both private and publically held companies, union and non-union, domestic and international.
In her spare time, Lori serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Equine Therapy Center and the HR Committee Chair for the Board of Citizens Caring for Children.
Lori received her Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and a Senior Professional Human Resource certification from the National Society of Human Resource Management.
