Seminar Overview

All auditors should have basic fraud knowledge to meet their obligation as an auditor.  This two day course will cover effective audit planning, the fraud risk assessment (FRA) process and fraud auditing.

The first day will focus on effective audit planning and the FRA process.  The FRA is an important aspect to any anti-fraud program.  It is the foundation to build upon for fraud prevention in an organization.  With the new COSO standards requiring an FRA, all auditor should attend this course!

The second day will be dedicated to fraud auditing for all auditors.  In this day long course attendees will focus on the basics of fraud auditing, including monitoring activities, understanding the nature of fraud and how it occurs, internal audit's role in detecting fraud and fraud red flags.

The second day will also features a luncheon covering People Centric Skills-Interpersonal Skills for Auditors.

Fraud Auditing for Auditors (April 10th)

  • Discover how fraud occurs and the characteristics of a fraudster
  • Learn how to identify fraud risk and appropriate tools and techniques
  • Learn how to apply critical thinking skills to fraud situations
  • Learn how to identify fraud through fraud indicators
  • Understand how to effectively interview for fraud and read body language clusters
