Active Testing: High Assurance Auditing of Cyber-Security
Electronic information is a critical component of business operations, making it a primary target for theft, tampering, and misuse. Are your client’s privacy and security practices sufficient to protect the organization’s data?  Are they meeting their legislative and contractual obligations? And how can we, as internal auditors, answer these questions?
Join us for an intense hour-long session as members of the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton team share real-life projects and incidents that demonstrate the value in IT Risk management, privacy, and business resilience. The session will include a walk-through in the day of a hacker to showcase common activities used in cyber-attacks, ranging from intelligence gathering, to attack execution, including a live attack demonstration against a 'secured' workstation.
The insight provided by this session will help you better understand the risk that cyber-attacks pose to your organization, what controls are necessary to mitigated this risk, and how to craft an audit program that speaks to the critical questions identified above.
Note: Attendees do need not be actively involved in IT Security to benefit from this session.

Registration Fee: $45
