The IIA Ottawa Chapter is proud to present its 2013-14 Lunch and Learn series, The Experts. Each session will feature a different expert from a field outside of the auditing world who will share their perspective on matters of interest to auditors.
Security is an area of growing concern for public and private sector organizations. Join us as Dr. Wayne Boone CD, CISSP, CPP, CBCP, CISM, PCIP, shares his experiences from over 34 years in the fields of personnel, facility and information security. Dr. Boone will identify the most common and overlooked areas of risk in organizational security, and will share his insight into how the internal audit function can assess and help strengthen your organization’s security program.
Dr. Boone teaches in Carleton University’s Master of Infrastructure Protection and International Security (MIPIS) program. He earned a PhD in Information System Security Policy from the University of Fairfax in 2009. He also consults regularly in Asset Protection and Security (AP&S), and has conducted over 100 security-related audits. He is a retired Canadian Forces Military Police Officer, having specialized in both force protection and information security.
