Join us for the IIA - March Chapter Meeting!
Date: Tuesday, March 11, 2014 @ 11:30 AM
Location: Maggiano's Bellevue
(10455 NE 8th St. Bellevue, WA 98004)
Topic: Auditor Involvement in System Implementations - Do's and Don'ts
Jason Brucker - Protiviti, West Region Governance & Process Improvement Lead
Ronan O'Shea - Protiviti, Global IT Consulting Leadership Team
Program Overview: The implementation of new enterprise systems promises to enable transformation of a business, but all too often results in significant disruption to that business, missed expectations and acceptance of a final solution that falls well short of the early promise. The critical success factors (CSFs) for these projects and the risks inherent in their delivery are common across most, if not all, organizations. Protiviti's Jason Brucker and Ronan O'Shea will draw on a number of recent case studies to highlight the common mistakes that are made along the way and leading practices to avoid them. This luncheon will start with a discussion of what represents a successful enterprise system implementation, move to identification of the CSFs and common risks, and close with a discussion of the role that Internal Audit can play in audit or risk management of the program.
