8:00 am Breakfast Meeting
It seems like fraud is popping up everywhere these days; in truth, it is. The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners estimates that organizations lose 5% of their gross revenue to employee fraud and abuse. That comes to a whopping $3.5 trillion per year around the globe. In addition to the immediate financial loss, the collateral damage to stock price, reputation and employee morale can be devastating.
“Fighting Fraud” is illustrated with magic and some fascinating stories about actual frauds.
The session will cover:
· The nature and prevalence of fraud
· How fraud happens
· Why fraud happens
· Tips for minimizing fraud
Participants will gain valuable insight into the nature and prevalence of fraud. They’ll also learn tips for spotting fraud and learn specific techniques for minimizing its effects.
Who should attend: The session will be directed to all internal auditors (basic/intermediate/advanced).
