Hello AGA Members and Non-members!
Our April meeting has morphed into our May meeting! We had to move our meeting scheduled on Wednesday, May 8th
because of a conflict - we are also hosting the Audio Conference on Fraud Prevention at Macias Gini & O'Connell LLP at
3000 S Street on that date, which runs from 11:00 to 1:00. As a result, the May Monthly Meeting of the Sacramento
Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants will be held in May on Tuesday, May 21st at the State Controller’s
Office (SCO), 3301 C Street, Entrance 750 at the Cannery Business Park (see attached map).
As previously planned, Dee Brookshire, Chief Financial Officer with the Sacramento Regional Transit District, will deliver
a presentation entitled, Sacramento Regional Transit - A True Public Agency Survival Story. Dee will talk about the
background and structure of Sacramento Regional Transit, the challenges faced during the "great recession," and how
RT met those challenges. She will also talk about where RT is today and where it will be going into FY 2014, and will
conclude with lessons learned.
So reserve (or re-reserve) your seat now and hear from a Sacramento Business Journal’s Annual CFO of the Year
