Mobile Application Security is a rising trend in the cyber security industry.  With 4 billion mobile phones in use among 7 billion people, the number of people using mobile devices is on track to overtake desktop and laptop use.  One of these threats is accepting credit card payments and performing banking transactions.
 
Learning objectives include:
  • Vulnerabilities of the mobile platform today
  • Trends that are going to change how we view mobile application security
  • Techniques for implementing mobile application security

Carlos Peláez
Director, Coalfire Systems, Inc.
 
Carlos Peláez has 12 years of international experience in external and internal audit spanning 8 countries and 5 languages.  He has worked with over fifty Fortune 500 companies in securing IT environments and deploying solutions to improve operations.  In addition to audit, he has worked in finance, strategy, enterprise architecture, project management, and ERP implementations.
 
Mr. Peláez’s educational background and certifications include B.A. Economics, Accounting, and International Relations, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Projects in Controlled Environment version 2 (PRINCE2).

Cancellations after September 12, 2013 and no shows will be billed.  Please contact
registration@theiia-sgvc.org to cancel your registration or if you want to change your food selection after completing the registration process.
 
Refunds: Refund requests should be received by September 12, 2013.   No refunds will be granted after the event start date.  Contact the Programs Chair Vivien Ai at registration@theiia-sgvc.org for refund, complaint or cancellation policies.
