Many audit departments have began efforts to use data analysis techniques as an integral part of the audit process, but have struggled with maturing the process to unleash the power of data to the audit function and stakeholders. Audit departments have struggled with the purchase of costly tools, developing the right skill sets, and partnering with business and IT stakeholders to achieve their data analysis objectives. Data analysis tools and techniques used consistently in the audit process will lead to efficiency, greater coverage, increased visibility, and more timely risk identification in the organization. In May, leaders from Visa and NetApp share their experience and successes in maturing the Continuous Audit / Data Analytics Function.
