Matt and Preston will provide an overview of business continuity program elements, evaluate program maturity, and discuss tailored audit approaches to meeting regulatory and organizational standards.
Matt Defrain is a Senior Manager in Enterprise Resilience with 15 years experience including Business Continuity Management, IT Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management and Emergency Response Planning. He has a broad range of experience in the development and implementation of business continuity management programs including crisis management and emergency response processes, business continuity, disaster recovery and physical security/asset protection for large organizations across a number of industries. Matt has successful led large project teams to assist some of our largest, most complex clients, develop a business continuity management capability including requirements analysis (risk assessments and business impact analyses, strategy and plan development, and testing, training and maintenance processes. Matt is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) through the Disaster Recovery Institute International and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through ISC (2).
Preston Peterman is a Manager in Security & Privacy / Resilience Services Group of Deloitte's Enterprise Risk Services Practice focusing on Disaster Recovery (DR) services, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Risk Management and development of Resilience Strategies. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 6 years of experience in IS Security including Business Continuity. Additionally, he has tested security controls at multiple Fortune 500 companies in Health Care, Software, and Manufacturing sectors including data center security. Preston specializes in the design, development, implementation and evaluation and testing of business continuity management programs.
