The Impact of SAS 115
This month’s seminar is our annual student day, and the topic will be the Impact of SAS 115 – Communication of Internal Control Related Matters Identified in an Audit.
Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) 115, effective for audits of financial statements for periods ending on or after December 15, 2009, superseded SAS 112 (of the same name). This seminar will include a discussion of the impact of SAS 115 on governmental financial audits. Further, this seminar will be our annual “student day,” as it is a topic that will provide information that will be useful to accounting students’ careers, whether or not they choose auditing or accounting in the public or private sectors.
For this seminar, we are welcoming back an instructor who was very highly rated by our chapter during a prior course, Mr. Rob Cameron, CPA. Rob has helped hundreds of people achieve their personal and business financial goals. As a small-business owner, he has experienced the challenges of keeping up and getting ahead. A long-time coach and referee of youth sports, Rob demonstrates consistency, discipline, and honesty in his personal live. Rob’s commitment to those values has guided his professional work as a certified public accountant for more than 20 years.
We hope you will join us as we learn about an important topic, and welcome local students who may be inspired to choose a profession in auditing.
If you plan to attend, please register by November 15, 2013 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
