Dear Chapter Members and Guests:
Our QUARTERLY training luncheon meeting will be held on Thursday June 25, 2015 at the Capital City Country Club from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please plan to arrive at 10:50 a.m. to complete our registration process.
We are pleased to have Melinda M. Miguel and Joseph K. Maleszewski as the speakers for this event.
Melinda M. Miguel, CIG, CFSA, CBM, CICA, CPMP, who is a Chief Inspector General for the Executive Office of the Governor, where she has responsibility for working with Inspectors Geeral in the State of Florida to coordinate accountability, integrity, and efficiency in state government. Ms. Miguel is also Regional Vice President Elect for the Gulf Coast Region of the Association of Government Accountants. She is the Director-at-Large for the Tallahassee Chapter of AGA. She is currently co-chairing the Legislative Issues Committee. She is on the Board of the Florida Chapter of the AIG, the past Chair of the Florida Audit Forum, and the past President of the Tallahassee Chapter of Internal Auditors.
Ms. Miguel will speak on the following topic:
Recent Amendments to the Florida Inspector General Act of 1994
Joseph K. (Joe) Maleszewski, MBA, CISA, CIA, CIG, CIGI, CGAP has the distinct privilege of serving the State University System of Florida Board of Governors, and over 325,000 students who attend Florida's 12 public universities as their Inspector General and Director of Compliance. He previously served as Inspector General for the Department of Economic Opportunity after serving as the Department of Transportation's Director of Audit.
Mr. Maleszewski will speak on the following topic:
Florida HIgher Education Governance
