While technological innovations continue to create new opportunities for growth, they are also giving rise to new risks - cyber risk. Over the past two years, we have seen a rise globally in the number of publicly reported cyber attacks against organizations of all sizes and across various industries. These attacks have been motivated by several factors including economic crime, espionage, terrorism and social/political activism.

What Are The Impacts Of Cyber Attacks?

Organizations are feeling the impact of these cyber attacks extend beyond direct financial losses to also include targeted or collateral damage to their brand and reputation, relations with regulators, business relations, share price and customer confidence. As such management of cyber risk is increasingly becoming a board and executive level issue.

Saj Nair is a Director in PwC’s Cyber Resilience and Information Security practice. His core areas of specialization include cyber resilience, security strategy, emerging technology security and M&A security risk management. He has international experience providing consulting services to organizations of all sizes and across several industry groups in North America, Australia, Asia and Europe.
