Chief Audit Executives, Directors

On December 18th, MNP will be hosting their seventh 2019 IIA Roundtable. The event will be held at their Toronto location at 111 Richmond Street West, Suite 300, from 16:00 to 18:00. We welcome Hash Qureshi as they present on the topic of IT Governance.

Organizational reliance on technology and data has long been recognized.  Knowing how an organization makes investment decisions in technology, oversees enterprise implementation and sustains software, hardware and network systems while enabling business is collectively part of the IT governance.  Industry frameworks such as TOGAF, Cobit, ITIL and PMI PMBOK address enterprise architecture, risks & controls, IT “lights-on” service management & delivery and how changes are implemented through projects provide sources of leading practices through which IT governance can be assessed. Information and technology governance is a subset discipline of corporate governance, focused on information and technology and its performance and risk management.

During this session, we will explore the following:

· What is IT governance

· Why is IT governance important

· What does an IT Governance audit look like – a typical workplan of an audit

· What are some tools, techniques, and templates that you could use to perform you next IT Governance audit

· How to achieve the 5 C’s (Completeness, Consistency, Cohesion, Coherence, & Communication) of risk and governance reporting for technology at your organizations
