Session Overview

The unprecedented global disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed internal audit teams to adapt on the fly to rapidly changing conditions. From shifting overnight to a remote work-first posture to adopting new audit and communication technologies at a previously unheard-of pace, the way internal audit teams work has changed forever. As we put the pandemic more fully behind us, the question now becomes “What’s next for internal audit?” To find out, AuditBoard surveyed internal audit leaders across North America, including those at major Fortune 500 companies, to learn what challenges and opportunities they see the industry facing in the coming year and beyond. In this session, we’ll reveal the survey findings and predictions on the future of internal audit.

Learning Objectives

· Discover the top challenges and opportunities for internal audit teams in 2022 and beyond, according to a survey of your fellow internal audit professionals.

· Dive into the survey results, and discuss predictions for the next year.

· Discover practical tips on how to tackle emerging risks and maximize new opportunities.
