Fraud Investigation and Protection
Insights from Detective Bill Payne, a 12-year Veteran of the Police Force
is a Detective with the Broken Arrow Police Department and is a 12-year veteran of the Police Force.
Formerly working in the Patrol Division, he now serves in the Criminal Investigations Division as a Financial Crimes Investigator.
He is a graduate of Northeastern State University obtaining a BBA with a double major in Business and Criminal Justice.
He has been decorated 3 times for outstanding performance in the line of duty receiving 3 Departmental Commendations and several Letters of Commendation.
Detective Payne achieved an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate, an Advanced Certificate on The Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation, and multiple Certificates from the National White Collar Crime Center and The Alpha Group Center for Crime and Intelligence Analysis Training.
Detective Payne works with the Broken Arrow Senior Center in protecting Broken Arrow’s vulnerable citizens against frauds and he is often requested to give presentations to various community groups on fraud protection.
Before becoming a Police Officer, Detective Payne worked as a bank Operations Manager for Bank of Oklahoma and a Departmental Manager for Commercial Financial Services.
