Dear Members,

I hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for staying connected and continuing to support the IIA Vancouver Chapter.

I’m truly honored and grateful to represent the Chapter as President for another year. It’s been a very rewarding experience to serve our members and to work with an amazing team of volunteers.

I’d like to thank all of our Chapter Board members. Their leadership, hard work, and commitment helped the Chapter maintain its operations and as a team, we delivered many programs, services, and initiatives in the current environment. I’d also like to acknowledge and thank The IIA, IIA Canada, and other Canadian Chapters for their guidance and support, and EY as our official Platinum Sponsor for 2021-2022.

During the past year, we were successful in executing our strategic goals and the Chapter achieved several IIA recognition awards, including the Building Awareness Champion Award, CIA Premier Award, and Ruby Chapter Status. The Chapter also launched the J. Bordian Student Scholarship to support the next generation of internal auditors.

We’re currently working towards a plan for future operations so that the Chapter can offer a mix of in-person and virtual programs and events in the near future. We’ll also continue to focus on our goals to increase member engagement, promote advocacy, and improve governance processes.

As previously mentioned by our past Presidents, the success of our Chapter depends on our members. Please reach out if you’d like to get involved with the Chapter or have any questions or feedback.

Let’s stay connected and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming Chapter events!

Sincerely,
Kelvin Goh, CGA-CPA, CISA, CFE, CIA, CRMA
President, IIA Vancouver Chapter
